English and Maths for Healthcare
Certificated English & Maths courses for the NHS and private healthcare sector
Our government funded English and Maths courses provide recognised certification and career progression opportunities for NHS and private healthcare personnel.
These courses develop vital Maths and English/communication skills and provide certification up to Level 2 - allowing staff to progress and enter degree courses and/or degree apprenticeships.
We can deliver a structured in-company course for groups of 8 or more. If fewer than 8, learners study a flexible, blended programme.
The courses are certificated with nationally-recognised Functional Skills certificates from Entry Level to Level 1 and 2. The level studied by each learner depends on their previous achievement and current ability and is assessed through a short Initial Assessment (IA). Learners may progress in a series of steps to achieve Level 2 in English and/or Maths.
To be eligible for government funding, learners must be 19 or over. Learners must be UK or EU citizens or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK. Learners will be ineligible if they have previously achieved a GCSE grade A* to C in the subject.
