Learner Privacy Statement

We need to collect personal information from you including your name, address, date of birth, personal status, previous qualifications, health conditions, course feedback etc. We will store this information in your learner file and also electronically in our learner databases.

We will use this information for legitimate purposes such as equal opportunities monitoring, registering you with Awarding Organisations, claiming your certificates, drawing government funding and course reporting. To do this, we will need to share your information with other organisations including the Education and Skills Funding Agency, Pearson, NCFE, Jobcentre Plus and/or OFSTED.

  • Your information will be kept secure and will only be accessed by staff who have a specific need to access it.
  • We will not sell your information or pass it on to any other organisation to use for sales or marketing purposes.
  • We may use your personal data to contact you up to 12 months after you have completed your course. This is to check your wellbeing and monitor your progress after the course.
  • We are required to retain your information for 6 years after the end of the academic year in which you attended your training. After that period, we will destroy it.

You have rights as defined within the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and may obtain a copy of the data we are holding about you by writing to the Managing Director at the company head office.
